Erin has called the Manhattan area home for most of her life.    She attended local schools and went on to achieve her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Kansas State University in 2004.  Following graduation, Erin started her teaching career in the Manhattan- Ogden School district.  She taught kindergarten and first grades at Amanda Arnold Elementary School from 2004- 2008.  During this time she was active in many extracurricular activities such s Student Council, after school clubs and served as teacher representative for her school’s PTA and National Education Association.

In the summer of 2008, Erin and her husband, Travis welcomed their first child into the world.  The birth of little Emma ushered Erin into a new season of life as she took on the role of full time stay at mom and placed her career in public education on hold.  Erin loved being a mom so much that she and her husband added a son, Zane to their family in the winter of 2010.  She greatly enjoys being with her children and using her God- given gifts to raise them up in His name.

Currently, Erin is active in Westview Community’s Mothers of Preschoolers group and serves as their MOPPETS Coordinator.  She also enjoys teaching her daughter’s Sunday School class on Sundays at Westview.  Erin joined the Westview Community staff in April of 2011 as data assistant and appreciates the opportunity to learn and help her church home in new ways.

Erin is passionate about serving God, growing closer to Him and sharing Christ’s love with those around her.  Erin also completed her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Language Arts and Reading in December 2010.  She plans to one day achieve her PH. D in the education field.
